Acctivate Perks Policy

At Acctivate, we believe that empowered, well-supported people deliver exceptional work. Our perks are designed to offer flexibility, recognise contribution, and support your life inside and outside of work. This policy sits outside your employment contract and may be updated as our team and needs evolve.
Flexible Start and Finish Times

We offer flexible hours to help you work when you’re most effective:
– Start between 7:00am and 9:00am
– Finish between 3:30pm and 5:30pm.

You have autonomy to plan your day, you just need to keep your directors informed.

We value both collaboration and focus. Once you’re fully onboarded and have sufficient workload, for a full-time employee your work model can be as follows:
– Work from home: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
– Work in office: Monday and Wednesday.

This is optional, if you prefer to work in the office, you can work full-time in the office. Once this is locked in, it will remain this way until approved by your director. This hybrid work model is also available to part-time employees subject to your days of work.

Full-time team members can choose to finish at 12:00pm every Friday by working an extra 30 minutes Monday to Thursday. This is optional, if your personal life doesn’t fit around working that additional 30 minutes, you can work a full day Friday. The ability to work less hours on a particular day or a half-day is available for part-time employees on a pro-rata basis commensurate with the hours and days of work.

Enjoy a fully paid team lunch on the last Wednesday of each month. A chance to connect, share wins, and have a laugh over good food.

We encourage rest and recharge through the provision of 5 weeks of annual leave (pro-rata if you work part time). This comprises the standard 4 weeks of annual leave per year entitlement under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) plus an additional week of annual leave. This additional week of annual leave is a separate and additional entitlement to the standard 4 weeks of annual leave per year based on each year of service.

The additional week of annual leave will be credited at the commencement of each financial year and must be taken within the financial year that it is granted as otherwise it will expire. It does not accrue from financial year to financial year.

This annual leave entitlement ensures everyone takes breaks and avoids burnout.

Take your birthday off with full pay:
– If it falls on a weekday, that’s your day off
– If on a weekend, take the Friday before or Monday after.

We are a no-timesheet firm. Rare in our industry, this reflects our trust in you and focus on results rather than time-tracking. The only exception here is if we are engaging a client for a project that is based on time. This is rare.

Our dress policy is practical and respectful:
– Client-facing days: smart casual/business attire
– No-meeting or remote days: wear what’s comfortable. Please ensure you have business shoes and jacket at your desk in case a last-minute meeting arises.

We are a Xero-only firm using the latest tools in:
– AI-powered accounting
– Workflow automation
– Integrated app ecosystems.

We invest in tech so you can focus on high-value work.

We offer reimbursement for study and professional membership fees as well as study leave.

You will be entitled to 2 days of study leave per subject that is undertaken for completion of a Chartered Accountant (CA) Program or ongoing CA course of study. Satisfactory evidence may be required to support that you are enrolled.

We will reimburse you for the following fees:
– CA Program fees
– Ongoing CA or other accounting professional membership fees.

Where you have successfully completed study for a CA Program or ongoing CA course of study or have other accounting professional membership, and paid the required fee, you will be reimbursed for the fee. Satisfactory evidence will need to be provided to support that you have successfully completed this CA study and/or have other accounting professional membership, and paid the required fee.

With this, there will be a clawback of CA/professional accounting course subject fees if you leave within 12 months of completion of that subject.

We’re committed to your ongoing learning and professional accreditation.

Every quarter, we host a team event to connect, relax, and celebrate progress. These may range from informal outings to shared experiences that reflect our culture and values.

Once a year, our office goes dog-friendly! This light-hearted day:
– Happens once per year
– Gives your pup a taste of work life (and us some joy).

Dogs must be vaccinated, well-behaved, and office-appropriate.
